Fairy in a Tin

These lovelies came to me from my wonderful  boss!

Sorry for the poor pic...this is what happens when you don't put on your extra set of eyes..lol
Outside of a tin covered with polymer clay..so very cool! The top is covered with Kraft glassine
paper and covered with ultra thick bronze utee.

My little fairy and her prince?? I fussy cut them out from Graphic 45 "Once Upon a Time Springtime" paper.
I added some moss and I am Roses, a couple of Martha Stewart butterflies....and some lovely
diamond stickles.

Here's a close up of the outside.....yummy! I took another piece of clay and stamped a Martha Stewart
labels stamp and tried to trim it after I baked it...came out ok I think! I named my fairy "sweet pea"
because she's so sweet and tiny!
I first painted the outside with victorian green acrylic paint, wiped with a damp paper towel, then added some
burnt umber, and burnt sienna. I did the same color for the top...love this look:)

And here is my Fairy in a Tin with my pretties! Shhhh....she's taking a nap:)
Hope you enjoyed your visit today, I do love having you here!
Have a wonderful week!

Time.......

Hi blogger buddies! Just wanted to share another journal page:)
I applied gesso to the page, then smeared on acrylic paint...love doing that. You never know how it's going to turn out! The leaves I drew...yes I drew them myself..lol... are done with watercolor pencils, then I just took a water brush over it to blend it in, what fun! I put some paint on bubble wrap in a couple different colors and stamped in random spots.
I have this really cool stamp set by Recollections that made the look of splatter all over my page. Want to talk about a fun stamp! I'm always reaching for it, gives your project a really cool "grungy" look. The image I have stored  on my puter. I colored it in with distress inks, just her dress and the flowers. There's a mini tag peeking out of the side, stamped with the splatter stamp. The quote is a t!m holtz stamp and it reads....

Time is a
companion
that goes
with us on
The journey
It reminds
Us To Cherish
Each Moment
because it
Will Never
come again
What we
leave behind
is not as
Important
as how we
have lived

Love this quote. It has a very special meaning for me....
I guess I covered everything..lol. If your still here, I love it!
Hope you enjoyed your visit today:)
Have yourself a fun day!

Definition Thursday # 11

re-lease....[ree-lees].....to free from confinement.....

to free from anything that restrains

liberation from anything that restrains or fastens.........

Hi my cyber friends:) Kind of doing something a little different today...but the message is the same:) Let yourself go and do what your mind, hands and heart are telling you to do. Listen to the lyrics in the song and hopefully you'll see what I mean!

I'm wishing you a wonderful day and a super weekend!

♥hugs♥

Definition Thursday #10

Today I think is going to be a fun one.....

doo·dle.......[dood-l ]

 to draw or scribble idly.....

a design, figure, or the like, made by idle scribbling.
to play or improvise idly
Sheesh...I tried to get more images but....sadly it didn't work. Let's just say there's a lot of bad sites out there:( I think you get the point anyways.
So, some fun things to doodle with you ask.......india ink, crayons, sharpies, the good old pencil..hehe.
Doodle on your layout, cards, and it's really fun to doodle in your art journal(if you do that) if not you should really give it a go!
Well, a short and sweet post from me today.
It makes me happy that you popped in for a visit!
Have a great weekend all!
♥hugs♥
