Lucky!!

Hey there my blogger buddies:))) Just a quick post to show you my latest art journal page! Sorry if the photo quality is not so great:( The camera I usually use is on it's last leg:(((( That makes me so unhappy!!! Anywho...I call this lucky because it has my lucky numbers in it!!! If you look closely you will see them on the right side of the page...hehe. The fun stuff I used is my fingers..lol....acrylic paint, glimmer mist, clear rock candy crackle paint, stamps, distress ink and some fun grunge letters and a tiny bit of modeling paste. My new love, that stuff is so much fun!!! I am entering this in the.....AJC challenge, and this is the challenge......don't ya just love the colors!!! Just wanted to share a little tip I discovered!! See the grungy brayer???  Would you like to know how to make it look like brand new???

I love this little can of miracles!!! I only have one brayer(don't know how I did without it)! Well, silly me decided to use it to roll out my polymer clay with it....now I also wanted to use it in my art journals and other things. Now the dilemma is  I have gooky clay all over it. We don't want that transferred to our wonderful art pieces we put our little hearts into....no, no, no!!!  Ok, ok, now for the tip....hehe. Just take a piece of paper towel and spray some miracle in a can on it and wipe your gookiness away!!! Wash with warm soap and water after and wa-lah... it will be all shiny and new!!! You have a brand spanking new brayer! Well, of course if it's just acrylic paint you have to get off of it warm soapy water will do the trick! So , if you use it to glue things down, flatten out something with glitter on it and roll out that really sticky polymer clay..this will work for ya! Yeah, I had all that stuff on mine and now it looks like new!!! I am a happy camper:)))) Ummm....no it doesn't take a lot to make me giddy...lol!

Hi all my cyber buds:)))  My last post inspired today's definition. The friendship I have gained, the support and your acts of well, kindness has touched me in ways I could have never imagined.

I had no idea where I was going with my little piece of cyber world. I didn't even think I was going to keep up with my blog! But you are the reason that tells me that it's ok to share my thoughts, my creative side(which is still in the growing stage..lol). I have come to realize that this community is the most wonderful, sharing, thoughtful and fun place to be:)) I just want you to know that I appreciate all of you!!!

Good for the Soul....

and her friend started this really cool blog called..... http://artjournalcafe.blogspot.com/ . So, I am entering this in the first challenge! The challenge is what is your mantra.....mine at the time was this........

I covered my page with the wonderful stuff called Gesso, dragged out my paint and scrap paper, stamps and glossy accents(little cute circles on my cloud...hehe). Well, I can't forget my watercolor pencils!!! Love those things:) Well, it seems I can't do a page without some splatter, sooooo much fun! I am entering this in the challenge! Oh and guess what......this is my very first challenge! So, if you do art journaling please check it out! Lots of fun:))) I'm so happy you came to visit (again....hehe).

t!m's Tag for May!!

 

Whew!!! I think I'm cutting this a little close..lol! This is my version of t!m's tag for May! I used tissue paper for my background. I couldn't get the wrinkled effect like I wanted to because my glue dried to fast...hehe. I think it came pretty good. I love the distress look I ended up with. The little pot is made out of polymer clay!! 

I distressed the roses with distress ink and dipped them in ultra thick utee...love it!

  Close up of the little charm I made out of polymer clay. I stamped part of the lantern on a piece of white card stock glued it to the clay and covered it with beeswax!! I just got my melting pot with all these goodies so it I was having a blast and wanting to cover everything and anything I could get my hands on..lol....well, not everything..ha! Well, I better link this up before I miss out!  Oh, almost forgot, am I the only one that doesn't own a dress form of any kind??...lol. I am going to have to change that!!!  Too many pretty things you can do with dress forms...really!
