t!m's tag #12:))))))

I finally did it!!! There is a lot of details to this tag, so I'll only bore you with a couple...lol. I did the background like t!m..I stamped the background with a script stamp from the visual artistry collection..stampers anonymous. I then took some tissue paper..I don't have the boxed tissue paper...stamped that with the music stamp from t!m's mini christmas stamps and covered it with rock candy distress stickles...so nice and sparkly!! The house is cut out from grungepaper...love that stuff. The letters are chipboard that I brushed the edges with copper metallic paint then covered them with pewter crackle paint., then backed it with some black card stock. Now I have to tell you about my little gnome!! Isn't he just the cutest! I didn't have the porcelain doll so.....I painted his little hat added some rosy cheeks with fired brick distress ink and gave his lantern a little glow with wild honey distress ink covered with glossy accents.  I tried to do the fan fold tissue flower and didn't like the way it came out, so I did the pom pom one. Well I guess I'm cutting it a little close huh? I reached my goal!! I did all 12!!!
Did you notice my little helper in the first pic?? Isn't he cute?!? I did that to all my blending tools. They just make me happy! His little "feet" are petals from the tattered floral die...all you have to do is cut 2 petals from the large flower and you have your "feet"!
Well, it's been a blast sharing this with all of you..until next year!!!
Thank you so much t!m.....and Mario!
Thanks so much for stopping by:)))

t!m's tag #11!!!!

Posted by Picasa
A real simple tag....really have to get some glossy card stock;(( The background didn't turn out like I wanted it to. I didn't have the stamps t!m used but I do have his mini set. I used various colors of blue distress inks for the background and fired brick for the Santa. I used something that is a no-no for the "cardstock"....photo paper. That is probably why my background didn't turn out right. Well, almost there! Will be posting my final tag soon......
Thanks so much for stopping by!

t!m's tag #10!!!

Well, I'm almost there!! The technique on this one is something I really like doing in my projects....transferring! I don't know why it's not as vibrant as t!m's, but I think my charms came out pretty cool! The letters are some stickers, I just inked them and covered them with antique glossy accent...very cool looking. For the background I started with a manilla tag and sprayed it with walnut stain, then stamped it with t!m's mini Christmas stamp in music notes. I stamped the pine needles with pine needles distress ink and covered it with clear embossing powder. I then added a piece of pine...hmm...not really sure what to call it..lol..pine twig? Well, you get the picture. I had to put some snow-tex on it...hehe. ,added some jungle bells and tulle and waaaalaaaa! I distressed some seam binding with fired brick distress ink. Well, I hope you enjoyed today's tag....Thanks for stopping by!

t!m's tag #9!!!

I love this tag!! The technique t!m used on this I know I will be using again! It comes out so cool. I think I'm going to experiment with all different color...and add some more clear embossing powder to my stash...hehe. The flowers I had in my stash. I sprayed the with Candy Apple Red glimmer mist then put some ultra thick utee on them...one coat...makes it look like they have dew on them...really pretty. The lampost I stamped on grungepaper and embossed with black embossing powder and added some frosted lace stickles for a little "frost". The word peace are some stickers I had. I just inked them with black soot distress ink and covered them with glossy accents. The trim is from a gift I got from my secret santa....love it!
Well, thanks for taking a peek!
Wishing you and yours a Very Merry Christmas!

t!m's tags #8!!!

Well, hello bloggers! I couldn't wait to do this tag!! I know the 12 tags are over:((( but I didn't want to post all the ones I had finished and bore you guys...hehe.
So, basically the only things I didn't have for this are the 3 guys stamp, the finger and the gear die. Oh, what the heck...now that I think about it...quite a few things I didn't have. In the long run, I think I did pretty good!
I hope you can see the details on this. I love this tag...I am a steampunk, grungy kinda gal...lol.

If you take a peek at the second pic...I made my own filmstrip!!! I have this teeny tiny square stamp in the shape of a square, I just stamped it on some acetate with archival ink dried it with my heat tool......then I took my splatter stamp and inked randomly over it with coffee archival ink...I was really pleased with it! If you click on the pics, hopefully you be able to see it.
I love the mom and pop images..they are from t!m's lost and found paper pad...love his paper!
Well, I hope you like it! Thanks so much for stopping by!

t!m's tag #7:)))

Posted by Picasa

Hello!! This came out quite lovely, if I do say so myself!! I did the best with the holly leaves..alcohol ink and distressing. I took a little bit of mother nature (twigs) added some snow-tex and glitter and wa-la! It came out so cool! I stamped the greeting on a seperate piece of white cardstock then took the flourish stamp and stamped around it to make a frame...very pretty! Took some pearls and alcohol inked them, then glued them on some branches_Martha Stewart punch_and some tulle. Finished it off with some distressed seam binding and a t!m bauble. I love this tag...I think it's a keeper for hanging on next years tree!
Well, thanks for stoppng by!

T!m's Tags #6!!!

Hey bloggers! This one took me back to my childhood school days!! Painting outside the lines...lol. It's not as detailed as t!m's, but I guess it's the effort that counts right? I sort of like the way this one came out. I stamped and embossed the lampost to make it look like the tree was in some kind of magical park.....maybe Santa's front yard!! I then punched the star and inked it with wild honey distress ink, put some glossy accents on it and sprinkled it with glitter. Then, what is a Christmas tree without presents underneath! I put a little rock candy stickles on them to look like snow.....so cute! Hope you can see how cool my tree came out!
Well, thanks for taking a peek! Tag # 7 coming soon.......here's the link for tag 6....

T!m's Tag #5!!

I know, this is no where near what T!m did on his tag. I tried and tried.......I even tried on fragments and I just couldn't do it:(((( So, this is what I came up with....lol. The closest I came to alcohol ink is my little ornament I made hanging on the tag..ha!!! I love my angel. I put some diamond stickles on her dress to make her sparkle!! I also added glossy accents to the letters to make them pop a little.
Well, thanks so much for taking a peek!

t!m's 12 tags #4!!

Posted by Picasa
This one was so much fun! On this one I took t!m's mini snowman stamp and stamped the image 3 times on grungepaper and layered them. I then painted it white and globbed rock candy crackle paint on it  and distressed it. I covered the grunge numbers with music note paper and covered them with glossy accents......cool!! The snowflakes I covered with snow-tex to give them, well, texture...hehe! Then I put some glu n' seal on them and sprinkled them with glitter. Hope you can see the sparkle! Distressed a couple of buttons and added some tulle. Finished it off with some seam binding and tulle.
So here's the link for #4!

Tim's 12 Tags #1....Yay!!!

Posted by Picasa
Well, I finally did it! I know I'm a little behind but...I'm determined to catch up and do all 12 if I can. This is one of my goals before the end of the year.
With this tag I did the background technique t!m did, really liked the way it came out. I don't have the tools he uses but I'm using what I have. Makes it more interesting I think..hehe.
I cut the flourish by hand then painted it white then added crackle medium then painted it black. It came out quite cool! The pine cones are the real deal. I dipped them in snow-tex then covered them with diamond dust......so pretty and sparkly!! The ferns I punched out with the Martha Stewart punch, dipped them in the snow-tex then just layered the on a holly leaf. Now as far as the noel goes, I wish I had larger letters but I think there still cute...hehe. I inked them with gathered twigs distress stain then covered it with Glue N' Seal and pressed glitter on. They kind of have an aged glittery look.
Well, it was fun! now I have to go and work on the others! Thanks a bunch for taking a peek! Have fun with yours everyone! I'm having a blast being able to see what everyone is creating!

I miss you

You're giving me a special gift, So sorrowfully endowed, And through these last few cherished days, Your courage makes me proud. But really, love is knowing When your best friend is in pain, And understanding earthly acts Will only be in vain. So looking deep into your eyes, Beyond, into your soul, I see in you the magic, that will Once more make me whole. The strength that you possess, Is why i look to you today, To do this thing that must be done, For it's the only way. That strength is why I've followed you, And chose you as my friend, And why I've loved you all these years... My partner 'til the end. Please, understand just what this gift, You're giving , means to me, It gives me back the strength I've lost, And all my dignity. You take a stand on my behalf, For that is what friends do. And know that what you do is right, For I believe it too. So one last time, I breathe your scent, And through your hand I feel, The courage that's within you, To now grant me this appeal. Cut the leash that holds me here, Dear friend, and let me run, Once more a strong and steady dog, My pain and struggle done. And don't despair my passing, For I won't be far away, Forever here within your heart, And memory I'll stay. I'll be there watching over you, Your ever faithful friend, And in your memories I'll run, ...a young dog once again.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."
Matthew 28-29

Ragamuffin.......

RagaMuffin cats come in all coat colors and patterns, with or without white, with the pointed and pointed with white colors being registered by CFA but not shown. These are striking cats whether the color is blue, brown tabby with white, tortoiseshell or mink. Its coat pattern and its symmetry are not considered terribly important but all RagaMuffin breeders love the unique patterns and varieties that come naturally within the breed.
Their coats are medium-long and fully furred - similar to the coat of a rabbit. RagaMuffins are low maintenance cats. Although their coats are thick and plush, surprisingly they do not readily mat or clump and are easy to care for. Their overall softness makes you want to continually pet them, and when you do these massive cats love every minute of your attention and just keep purring.
RagaMuffins are classically large cats, with females averaging between ten and fifteen pounds and males averaging between fifteen and twenty pounds. Some of them get much larger. Each is heavily boned and fully fleshed, with a tendency toward a fatty pad on the lower abdomen. They are fully mature at four years of age and have a long life expectancy.
A RagaMuffin's personality is one of extreme sweetness and they form a strong bond with their families and children. Their calm and patient temperament lends itself to their boisterous, robust play of youngsters and they can easily be found attending tea parties or taking rides in baby strollers.
RagaMuffins want to please, and some pet owners even report they can be taught tricks, such as fetching. They also make wonderful companions for those who live alone because they provide much needed company and support.
They are quite likely to go limp in your arms, as the rag part of their name implies. As for their disposition, they tend to be calm and are likely to be found curled in your lap as you read a book or watch television. Yet, these are not lazy cats. Just pull out their toys and you will find them ready for action. Because they are very trusting animals they must be kept indoors only.

I just had to share this..........I am  big animal lover and I must say this is one beautiful cat!  It's funny, I remember using the word "ragamuffin" in  completely different way when my daughter was younger. She was very outdorsey and kind of tomboyish, so she always had "play dirt" on her......lol.  I'm sure you know the kind...when they take the socks off and have the ring around the ankle...hehe. Ahhhhh...kinda miss those days. She is now grown into a beautiful woman and mother now, and  couldn't be more proud of her!
Well, I hope you have a Happy Scrappy Day!

Victorian Tag

Well, it's been awhile.........hmmmmmmmm....no excuses for not posting really. I just wanted to share a tag I made for a dear friend. I really loved the way it came out. Going to make sure I wear my glasses next time:(( sorry the pics are a little blurry.
For the paper I used The Luxury Stack by DCWV...I loooove there paper line..yummylicious! I also used iamroses flowers and a Recollections Boutique Fleur. There are a couple of iamroses tiny leaves on there as well.
The bling is from recollections, I took some butterscotch alcohol ink and colored them..sooooo pretty! The butterfly is the Martha Stewart punch. the vintage girl image I found on the web......gotta love the web, it sure is a never ending resource for us "scrappy addicts"!
On the back of the tag I just put glossy accents on parts of the butterflies with some Martha Stewart fine glitter. Oh and of course I used some Tim Holtz distress ink for the edges!!!
I cut the tag out on my cricut expression, something I was very lucky enough to get this past Christmas!!! Let me tell you, that machine is awsome! Where I live we had a BIG blizzard that weekend so.....I got to play with it all weekend. It so was so much fun! Of course one of the cartridges has some Christmas cut outs on it, snowflakes and such, so much fun!
Well, hope you like it!
Have a scrappy happy day!
